Peller Reacts to Viral TVC Video Circulating Online
Nigerian TikTok personality Peller has reacted to a viral clip from Trending Now, a live segment aired on TVC, where a panelist questioned his credibility and made dismissive remarks about his online presence.
The broadcast, which aired earlier this week, centered on the headline: “TikTok Personality Peller Denies Using Job Recruitment Process for Content.” During the discussion, one of the guests said, “I never found him funny… and when someone doesn’t go to school, in a way it shows, and I think that’s what happened there.”
In a video response shared across his platforms, Peller addressed the comments directly. He began by clarifying that he has never identified as a comedian, a fact he noted is clearly stated in his public bio.
“It’s boldly written on my page, I’m not a comedian. People come online and talk without even checking facts,” he said.
Peller also took aim at the panelist who made the statement, pointing out that her perception of him is solely based on what she sees online, not on any personal or professional knowledge.
“She doesn’t know me. All she knows is the personality she sees online and even that, she misunderstands,” he added.
He went on to criticize TVC for giving what he described as “uninformed voices” a platform on national television.
“It’s disappointing that a media platform like TVC would allow people like this to speak on issues they clearly don’t understand. This is meant to be a professional broadcast,” he said.
The video in question was not AI-generated, as some speculated. It was verified to have been posted on TVC’s official YouTube channel.
The incident has sparked broader conversations on social media about how digital creators are represented by traditional media and the importance of informed commentary in public discourse.
TVC has not issued a public response as of the time of reporting.
