Nigerian singer Reekado Banks has opened up about a private and emotional conversation he had with Wizkid, revealing that the star recently visited his restaurant and spoke candidly about his past behavior particularly regarding Don Jazzy.

Speaking during a podcast appearance, Reekado shared that during Wizkid’s visit, the two had a heartfelt exchange. According to him, Wizkid appeared regretful about the way things had played out in the past.

“He came visiting my restaurant recently. We had a little talk and he was a little regretful about it,” Reekado said. “He mentioned his behavior towards Don Jazzy… He was like he shouldn’t have gone that route.”

Reekado also revealed that during their conversation, Wizkid noted a deeper connection between them, pointing out that they are among the few artists in the Nigerian music industry who have lost their mothers a bond that seemed to add an emotional layer to their exchange.

While Reekado didn’t disclose further details, the tone of the discussion hinted at growth, reflection, and maturity from Wizkid, who has faced criticism over previous remarks that were perceived as dismissive toward Don Jazzy  one of the most respected figures in the industry.
