Born and raised in Ikorodu, on the outskirts of Lagos state. Shanko now known as Tiphe started his journey in a modest neighborhood where dreams often seemed out of reach.

A young mechanic boy, Tiphe was immersed in a world of hard work and determination from a young age.

Amid the hustle of the workshop, while others fixed engines, Tiphe fixed his fellow mecko friends' hearts with his soulful voice and profound lyrics.

Many might recall one of them saying, "Mo o kin korin, ṣùgbọ́n mo mọ Shanko tó nkọrin” meaning, "I do not sing, but I know Shanko who does."

It was on that fateful day, when grace stepped in. Two TikTok content producers stumbled upon his oga’s workshop and were captivated by his raw freestyle talent. That was the turning point!

Seizing the moment, Tiphe under the guidance of his management team, Soundhub has collaborated with top artists like YKB, Niphkeys and Shoday. Each project has further fueled his burning ambition.
